Lant and I just got back from a wonderful (kid free) cruise trip to the Bahamas and Key West (thanks again Boppa and Papa Jim for babysitting!) The weather was beautiful, the food was not cooked in a microwave box and no one had a timeout. We soaked up the Vitamin D and reluctantly came back to snow, snow and oh, did I mention snow. The kids informed us that they want to come along next time. So expect delays!

Another one bites the dust...
Tooth #2 is outta here. Holyn let Mommy pull yet another one right before Valentine's Day, and just in time for the Tooth Fairy! She is definately getting her workout this month. The second permanent tooth is already pushing its way into place, so Holyn really doesn't have a gap in front. She is talking a little lispy. Max is jealous, and trying his best to loosen his teeth. God help us!

Breaking News.....

Holyn has lost her first tooth!! She has been wiggling it for a couple days now and could not stand it any longer. So, after bathtime tonight she let Mom yank it out. We had it twisted all the way around when it gave way and both of us cheered! What a brave girl, didn't cry or whine. Her first question after it was out was how she was going to cash in. I let her know she wouldn't be able to retire off this one tooth. She loaded the tooth into Mom's old toothfairy pillow and settled into bed (with one enormous smile). Had to call Boppa and Dad to celebrate this big girl milestone. Slow down kid (sniff, sniff) don't grow up too fast.

Snow Fun

The kids had a great day sledding (for the first time) at the little white church. Mom and Dad even got in on the action and tried not to dump it. Good thing this was a bunny hill, because its been a while since either of us have skied let alone sledded. The only obstacle was a creek at the side of the hill (luckily separated by lots of brush and trees). Max thought it had alligators in it, and kept clear. Holyn, buddies Lauren and Ali all cruised down the hill in style (Holyn's in back in the cool pink shades). Max found Lauren's cousin Ty to do the uphill work for him (that's Max in the ski mask). A fun time for all, followed by lunch and hot cocoa at Lauren's house (thanks Marcia!).
