Our Critic Says: "You Gotta See This Movie"

Max has been on a movie kick this month, and the favorite of the moment.... the Incredibles! Everytime he gets on the phone with Papa Jim he says, "Papa Jim, you just GOTTA see this movie, its called the Incredibles. Its COOL". Never mind we have had this movie for over a year, or that Papa Jim and Max have watched it together already. Sometimes just for a change he will watch Corpse Bride, but only with all the lights on in the basement. Here Max is taking a little break between movies for a snack. A kid's gotta relax right?

Special Week

Holyn is SPECIAL this week. Each kid in her Pre-Kindergarten class has a week that they share stories about themselves, their family and what makes them special. This week is Holyn's week. Mom made her a poster featuring lots of old pictures and stories to share with the class. Holyn gets to bring a show-and-tell item each day too. She was very excited to show off (but that's nothing new). Here is a shot of the "girls" (Rhya, Holyn, Holly & Lauren) near the poster.

Watch out TMZ and Entertainment Tonight, Holyn pulled a reverse Britney yesterday. While trying to get into the bathtub, preoccupied by her fairy dolls (and an ongoing custody battle she has with her brother over said dolls), Holyn forgot to take off her underwear. Max looked at her and yelled, "Holyn oh no". We all had a great laugh as she sat soaked, still holding the fairy dolls. Fortunately, no rehab will be needed for the time being. Where is my camera when I need it most?

Thinking inside the Box

The kids received lots and lots of great gifts for Christmas. But isn't it funny how something this simple keeps them entertained? Yup, the box of the Smart Cycle is the newest craze here. No batteries required. That should make Papa Jim proud, using the boxes again!
